Allhallowtide 2025
This year, as 1 November (All Saints’ Day) falls on a Saturday, the celebration of All Saints’ Day is transferred to Sunday, 2 November, in accordance with the practice of the Church in England and Wales, so that the Sunday congregation may share fully in the solemnity. Likewise, the Commemoration of All the Faithful Departed (All Souls’ Day) is observed on Monday, 3 November, as the Sunday is already taken by the transferred Solemnity of All Saints.

In the Traditional Latin (1962) calendar, the observance follows its own order: All Saints’ Day is kept on Saturday, 1 November, while All Souls’ Day is transferred to Monday, 3 November, since the 21st Sunday after Pentecost, which falls on 2 November this year, takes precedence.
