Perpetual Novena in Honour of Saint Joseph
A new initiative will start at Holy Family to honour Saint Joseph, the Foster Father of Our Lord and Spouse of Our Lady

Over the years, we have manifestly maintained in our parish a strong devotion to Our Lord in the most Blessed Sacrament through our weekly Eucharistic Adoration. We have likewise sustained a robust Marian devotion through our regular recitation of the Holy Rosary every Sundays before Vespers, apart from the many other devotions that we do to honour of Our Lady throughout the year.
This year, in view of honouring and invoking the Head of the Holy Family, the Foster-father of Our Lord and Spouse of Our Lady, we will begin in our parish a Perpetual Novena in honour of Saint Joseph. Starting on the 4th February 2025, the Novena will take place regularly every Tuesday at the side altar dedicated to Saint Joseph after the 9.15 a.m. Mass. Pamphlets containing the novena prayers will be made available at the back of the church.
Revered under his title of “Model of Workers”, we wish to invoke Saint Joseph to assist us through the much-needed repairs and improvement in our church building. But most importantly, with him being the Protector of the Universal Church and the Pillar of Families, we wish to implore his intercession, given the many attacks on the Church and family throughout the world. Please join us in this new devotion in our Parish and if you would like to take a turn at leading this devotion , please speak to John after the Tuesday devotions, or contact the parish office at: office@holyfamilysouthampton.org.uk
