Sung Mass at 10.30 a.m. by the Procession of the Most Blessed Sacrament (Millbrook Area)

The Annual Corpus Christi Procession.

After the 10.30 a.m. Mass, we shall take Our Blessed Lord in procession around the Millbrook area.

  • The duration of the procession (slow pace) would be approximately 20 to 30 minutes.

  • Please note that this event is for any Catholic, whether from Millbrook or from outside.

  • To honour the Blessed Sacrament – that is, God Himself – carried along our streets, let us make a special effort to wear our Sunday best: for instance, dresses for ladies and girls, suits for men and boys.

  • Children are invited to bring flower petals in baskets to be scattered before the Blessed Sacrament.

  • Please do invite people to come from far and wide to walk by Our Lord and sing, giving this beautiful witness of the Eucharistic presence.

Following the Procession, there will be an Afternoon Tea that will be held in the Parish Hall. A £5.00 contribution fee will be required per head.

We will need volunteers as marshals for the procession (preferably people who have no other responsibilities), a couple first aiders, and people to assist any elderly people (perhaps involving pushing wheelchairs). We will also be needing help in preparing our parish hall for the afternoon tea. We thank you all in advance for making this holy endeavour possible.
