THE SEASON OF ADVENT at The Parish of the Holy Family
As we enter the sacred Season of Advent, the Parish of the Holy Family warmly invites you to journey with us in prayer, reflection, and community as we prepare our hearts for the coming of Christ. This holy season is a time of quiet longing, joyful anticipation, and spiritual renewal—and we are blessed to offer a full programme of liturgies and events to help us walk this path together.

Sundays in Advent
Join us each Sunday for the celebration of the Holy Mass:
• 9.00 a.m. – Latin Mass (1962 Missal)
• 10.30 a.m. – English, New Rite
• 4.00 p.m. – Rosary, Vespers & Benediction
Parishioner-Led Advent Talks

Louis Suite, Holy Family Parish
This year we are delighted to continue our tradition of Journeying Through Advent, a four-week series of inspiring talks given by members of our parish family. Each evening features personal testimonies of faith, offering a beautiful opportunity to hear how God is moving in the lives of ordinary people in extraordinary ways. Come and be uplifted, encouraged, and spiritually refreshed. Everyone is welcome—please bring a friend!
Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception
Monday 8th December
We joyfully celebrate one of the great feasts of Our Lady, honouring her as the Immaculate Conception—she who was preserved from all stain of sin from the first moment of her existence, prepared by God to become the Mother of His Son.
Mass Times:
• 7.30 p.m. – Holy Mass (Latin, 1962 Missal)
Advent Carol by Candlelight
Tuesday 9th December at 6.00 p.m.
A gentle, prayerful evening of Advent music illuminated by candlelight—an atmospheric time of reflection and beauty as we await the Light of Christ.
Rorate Caeli Mass (Latin, 1962 Missal)
Saturday 13th December at 6.00 a.m.
One of the most cherished Advent traditions: a dawn Mass celebrated entirely by candlelight, honouring Our Lady during this expectant season. Following Mass, you are warmly invited for tea, coffee, and breakfast in the Louis Suite.
Bambinelli Sunday
Sunday 15th December
On the Third Sunday of Advent (Gaudete Sunday), we will bless figures of Baby Jesus from your home nativity scenes during each Mass. A beautiful tradition encouraging families to prepare their hearts and homes for the Lord.
School Carol Service
Thursday 18th December
Our parish school will gather in the church for a joyful service of Christmas carols, Scripture, and music—celebrating the nearness of Christ’s birth.
Parish Big Clean & Christmas Decoration
Monday 22nd December
As we approach the great feast of Christmas, we invite everyone to join us for our Parish Big Clean and Christmas Decorating Day. This joyful annual tradition is a wonderful opportunity to come together as a community, roll up our sleeves, and prepare our spiritual home for the birth of the Saviour. Whether you can spare an hour or the whole morning, every helping hand makes a real difference. It is a beautiful act of service—offered not only for our parish family but for the Lord Himself.
